The 2024 Q8 Sportback e-tron at a Glance
Q8 Sportback e-tron Review Shakespeare is famous for writing, "A rose by any other name would smell as sweet," and that adage is as true now as it was 400-plus years ago, even when applied to the 2024 Audi Q8 Sportback e-tron. That's because it's essentially a refreshed Audi e-tron SUV with a slightly different name. The original e-tron SUV, Audi's first all-electric vehicle, debuted in 2019, and this new Q8 Sportback e-tron shares much of its style, internal components, and personality.
The Q8 part of the name will likely cause some confusion since this EV isn't directly related to the slightly larger gasoline-powered Q8, also introduced in 2019. The e-tron moniker will continue to distinguish Audi's electric vehicles from its internal combustion models.
In terms of style, the new Q8 Sportback e-tron could be hard to tell apart from its predecessor. There's a new grille frame that extends under the headlights, but that's as different as the exterior gets. The interior is virtually a dead ringer for the previous e-tron. The most significant changes are found in the spec sheet.Â
The Q8 Sportback e-tron is more aerodynamic, has an increased battery capacity, and more efficient motors. Combined, they contribute to an estimated range of 285 miles, which is a significant upgrade from the olderÂ
e-tron's 222-mile range.

2024 Q8 Sportback e-tron: Premium
What is the Interior Like in the 2024Â
Q8 Sportback e-tron?
To answer your question in simple terms: stunning!Â
Any doubts that the 2024 Audi Q8 Sportback e-tron is based on the previous e-tron SUV, will disappear in the cabin. The Q8's dashboard and interior layout are nearly identical to its predecessor's, with distinct dual touchscreens, a digital instrument panel, and beveled styling flourishes. Materials are of excellent quality and appropriate for the luxury price. Construction is also sturdy, with no detectable creaks.
There's ample room for taller passengers in the back, and front-seat occupants will enjoy ventilated seats with the Premium Plus trim and massaging functions in the top Prestige trim. Even in the base Premium trim, the seats are comfortable and supportive. We're also glad that the rear seat cushions provide plenty of thigh support for adult-sized passengers.Â

2024 Q8 Sportback e-tron Infotainment, Connectivity, & Convenience Features.
The 2024 Audi Q8 Sportback e-tron uses the same dual-touchscreen interface as its e-tron predecessor, with similar mixed results. The system itself displays sharp graphics and is quick to respond. Wireless versions of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto pair well with the included wireless charging pad. The top 10.1-inch screen controls the typical infotainment functions for audio and navigation, while the lower screen takes care of climate functions.
There are very few physical buttons in the cockpit, which means you'll have to use the touchscreen for almost all features. Furthermore, the Q8 Sportback e-tron lets owners monitor and control the vehicle through a smartphone app. Drivers can unlock the car, precondition the climate control, and adjust the charging schedule. Drivers will also appreciate the premium Bang & Olufsen system included in the Premium Plus and Prestige Trims. It delivers quality audio that is enhanced by the nearly silent cabin.

How does the 2024 Q8 Sportback e-tron Handle on the Road?
Making up to 402 horsepower in Boost Mode, the Q8 Sportback e-tron can go from 0-60 mph in an Audi-estimated 5.4 seconds. That's not sports car quick, but it's quick enough for an almost 5,800-pound SUV. If you're looking for a sportier Audi electric SUV, consider the SQ8 e-tron (formerly e-tron S).
While it has standard dual-motor all-wheel drive, in normal driving, the Q8 Sportback e-tron stays in a nominal rear-wheel-drive mode, giving it pleasant on-road dynamics. A quicker steering ratio than its predecessor also improves agility. Ride quality is firm but composed, just like the previous generation, and the standard adaptive air suspension continues to work well. The overall effect is that of a modest improvement to the actual driving experience, and drivers will enjoy driving the Q8 e-tron more than the previous model.
